Kiwi(Actinidia deliciosa): a fruit tree, characteristic of the Rías Baixas region. It is a vigorous climbing plant, native to China, introduced by growers from New Zealand - hence its name. There are male plants and female plants. Female plants bear fruit, when pollinated by male plants. The fruit is hairy and highly nutritious, and it is a rich source of vitamin C.
